One day trek from Riad to Tamsoult waterfalls
Day one: Marrakech- Imlil 1700m – Aremd village 1940m
Today a drive along winding roads brings you to the mountain town of Imlil, not far from Mount Toubkal, the highest peak of Northern Africa. After the dry surroundings and date palms of Marrakech, you are suddenly in a different world of rugged mountains. You can have a lovely walk through the mountains and visit simple villages with houses made of stone. You will stay overnight in a Berber Riad Aremd
Day two: Aremd- Imlil –Marrakech
After breakfast in Riad Past Aremd a floodplain is crossed from where the route follows the left slope of the valley southwards. The valley bends to the east to the tiny settlement of Sidi Chamharouch, which has grown around a Muslim Shrine. At Sidi Chamharouch after lunch near the river back down to Riad and transfer to Marrakech.
